Each unique, and exceptional creation deserves especial attention since they are “alive” and fragile items. In order to to keep excellently preserved, works remain in the artist’s studio, their “natural habitat”, until the moment of purchase or exhibition.

At that moment our own carpentry workshop receives the information to create handcrafted custom-built furniture, tailored exactly to each work. OKUME Packing Plywood is in compliance with ISPM 15 standards and international regulations and procedures that apply to art transport.

Once the solid container is built, it is lined with special polyethylene sheeting FlexiLAM to protect the work against vibration, shock, compression, etc. Then the container is moved to the artist’s studio where We check that the work is in perfect condition and we proceed to the most delicate stage under the artist’s supervision.

The work is wrapped in a protective material called tyvek_logo, made by dupont, to prevent moisture condensation before packaging it for shipment. The container is carefully sealed and tightly screwed to withstand the probable stress during transport.

Finally, it is externally labeled, in compliance with the international security requirements in the perspective of art
